Visited Dad at the hospital today since it was Father’s Day. Mom didn’t want to go, understandably, so I ended up making the trip by myself.
It was…Pretty uncomfortable. I smuggled in some cigarettes for him since they can’t smoke in there. We went out to the commons area and stood around for a while, and he smoked and hardly said anything…He didn’t even bother saying goodbye when it was time for him to go back to his room.
…I know I shouldn’t be, but I’m a little upset with him.
Sorry about the long hiatus! I’ve been pretty busy around here between work and making sure Pudding’s ear mites don’t come back. There’s been a lot to do and not enough time to do it, so it’s nice to finally have the chance to sit down and write again.
I’ve been trying to help out around the house a little more. Dad had another one of his episodes about a week ago, and he clawed Mom’s face while she was trying to get him onto the stretcher…She wasn’t hurt too badly, but I know it left her pretty shaken up. Dad’s not going to be back for another two weeks at least, so I’m trying to make her feel as comfortable as I can.
Other than that, not much has happened. How is everyone?
