S-s-s-so. I managed to get myself in earlier..It was tricky, and I had to use some chemicals from dads lab to melt the lock. But I did it.

Sadly, I ended up getting caught by Uncle Evander’s guards. Apparently he told some of them to include that room in their rounds..B-but I was in there for…

I’ve never heard of anything like it. The Netherworld has a vast history, b-but this goes beyond anything I’ve ever read about…And a cover-up of that level has to signify something important, doesn’t it? Considering the stuff they put down in textbooks, I c-can’t even begin to imagine what sort of thing would be so bad that they’d want to hide it. It’s n-none of my business, but…I have to wonder. And you’re not rambling at all! It’s fascinating. Confusing and maybe a little scary, but it’s interesting.

N-no problem! I know I can’t do much, but at the very least, I can try to do some research to help you piece this together - I’m on break from school, so I have a lot more free time.

I-it would be unfortunate..B-but I guess that’s just sort of the price of knowledge..? You know, you have to sacrifice a bit, and risk getting in trouble. But you learn some things that you never thought could be true, you know? A-and I’m sure it won’t be too bad..I might get some of my things taken away, at the worst. Good point. I mean, w-we’d never learn anything if we didn’t take risks, right? It’s not a-always the safest thing, but it’s worth it for the discoveries that you make in the process. O-of all people, I think your dad would understand that; he’s had to take some p-pretty big risks in his line of work, after all.

Absolutely! I-if it’s not a problem for you, that is. They’re your family records, after all, and I don’t want to be nosy. No matter how scary it is, w-who knows what sort of knowledge we could uncover? This stuff could rewrite the records of the entire Netherworld for all we know. W-what do we have to lose?

It’s the least I can do. A-and it’s not a bother at all; I won’t be doing anything on break e-except working a little bit and helping Mom around the house. It would be a welcome distraction if anything. Plus I have messaging on my phone, s-so it’s not like I have to run to the computer if you have something to tell me.
